Berlin, February 29 2024 – We are delighted to celebrate the return of Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk, a true veteran of BIG to our coaching staff!
Kakafu commenced his journey with BIG in early 2017, marking his entry as one of the very first members of our coaching staff. With his assistance, the team clinched victories at the Kraków 2017 EU Minor, ESL Meisterschaft Spring 2017, and the ESEA S27 Global Challenge, alongside a commendable playoff appearance at the Kraków Major.
He rejoins BIG to bolster the competitive pursuits of our new Counter-Strike 2 squad, collaborating with head coach gob b and assistant coach DuDe to meticulously prepare for the upcoming competitive seasons.

We are delighted to welcome Alex back to BIG. His extensive knowledge and experience are a valuable addition to our coaching team. By combining the skills of Alex and Dustin, we will achieve an outstanding quality in our coaching staff, led by Fatih. Their collaboration promises to significantly raise the performance level of our team.
Alex, in close consultation with Fatih & Dustin, will focus on a variety of tasks including individual coaching, introducing innovative training methods and optimizing existing processes to ensure that we work efficiently and support our team in the best possible way. He will have a broad impact that goes far beyond the transfer of technical knowledge. He will be instrumental in promoting mental resilience and deepening team cohesion.
With his expertise and passion for the sport, Alex will fit seamlessly into our team and will undoubtedly be a valuable asset. I am looking forward to the time ahead and am optimistic that we will achieve our goals together.

I am delighted to be part of the BIG family again. BIG has been an integral part of the DACH scene for years and stands for national and international success. My task will be to use my accumulated experience to help the team and get the best out of them. My aim is to put us at the top internationally and present the German-speaking fans with a team that can compete with the best. After all these years, I’m looking forward to getting back to my roots and working with my old and new teammates.
