Berlin, February 12th 2024 – Get ready for a whole new look for BIG as we welcome Jon “JDC” de Castro and Florian “syrsoN” Rische to our Counter-Strike 2 team!
Following recent events, we have made the decision to make further changes to our Counter-Strike 2 roster. Leading our roster update is Jon “JDC” de Castro, a stellar German talent renowned for his elite performance at a young age. JDC’s journey with MOUZ is marked by impressive achievements: reaching the top eight in two ESL Pro League seasons consecutively, a formidable presence at IEM Cologne 2022, securing second place at IEM Dallas 2023, and notably, clinching a top-four finish at the IEM Rio Major 2022. His addition is set to fortify our team’s stability and sharpen our rifling skills.
We’re also thrilled to announce the return of our accomplished awper, Florian “syrsoN” Rische. An iconic figure in the scene, syrsoN played a pivotal role in propelling us to the pinnacle of the world rankings in 2020, alongside securing multiple titles, largely attributed to his exceptional sniping skills. Notably, he stands as the sole German player to be featured in HLTV’s annual Top 20 CS:GO Players list, achieving a remarkable 10th place in 2020. This revamped roster is geared up for their first appearance at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, commencing on March 6th, aiming for a spot in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals
This reformation leads to Elias “s1n” Stein and Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski transitioning to the bench. Both players have been invaluable assets to the team, demonstrating unwavering commitment and hard work throughout their tenure. They were both excellent teammates and dedicated players who put in a lot of hard work during their tenure on the roster, and will surely fight their way back to the big stage. I am very happy that we could secure JDC and syrsoN for our team. syrsoN is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding AWP players worldwide and will provide our team with security through his consistent style of play. JDC brings exactly the type of gameplay that our team has been missing. His ability to take responsibility and his positive aura will motivate the entire team.
