Academy Update – Welcome Karim “Krimbo” Moussa

Berlin, January 9th 2020 – We are excited to announce the arrival of Karim “Krimbo” Moussa to our BIG. OMEN Academy line-up, replacing Michael “devraNN” Geutebrück, who will be pursuing new opportunities.
We leave behind us a successful season of competition with the BIG. OMEN Academy. The highlight of the past few months was attending the 99Liga Finals, where we tried our strength against some of the best German teams on LAN. Our success was not left unnoticed, with devraNN now departing the roster for a new endeavor.
Although he has big shoes to fill, 17-year-old Karim “Krimbo” Moussa is more than ready for the task. The young prodigy has already made a name for himself on previous German teams, and is looking to continue climbing the ranks under the BIG. OMEN Academy banner.
While Krimbo bolsters the roster with his rifling skills, the responsibility of AWPing will be taken over by Max “PANIX” Hangebruch following the departure of devraNN. Fatih “gob b” Dayik also returns to coach the team, guiding them with his invaluable experience and Counter-Strike expertise.
Furthermore we would like to welcome our new Analyst Jan “jansen” Westerheide as he will assist our team captain Anhuin and Coach gob b in the upcoming season!

Statement Daniel Finkler, CEO
2019 has been an extremely successful year for our BIG. OMEN Academy Division. The team had multiple great showings and kept improving continuously throughout different team compositions. With the addition of Karim “Krimbo” Moussa we have managed to sign a tremendous talent which we will develop together with our coaching staff lead by Fatih “gob b” Dayik. I am looking forward to another great season and to see our talents developing within our BIG. OMEN Academy team.
Statement Fatih “gob b” Dayik, Team Coach
With a heavy heart we have to say goodbye to Michael “devraNN” Geutebrück. He played two great seasons for BIG. OMEN Academy and has now the chance to prove his value in his next team. We wish him the best of luck for his upcoming tasks and I’m sure, at some point we’ll meet again. Luckily we found the perfect addition for our team. We know Karim “Krimbo” Moussa for a long time already since he is a regular guest in Berlin, so there won’t be any problems integrating him into the lineup. With Max “PANIX” Hangebruch switching back to the AWP we will be more flexible and harder to read in our playstyle. #WorkHardDreamBIG
Statement Karim “Krimbo” Moussa
I’m very excited to get the chance to play for BIG. OMEN Academy. I’m very confident that with the help of OMEN, BIG and gob b we will be able to replicate last season’s success and become a serious contender to win national and international events. I hope I can fulfil the expectations and that a lot of people continue to support us! #GOBIG

With these changes, our BIG. OMEN Academy line-up will now start looking to compete in more international online tournaments, as well as aiming to repeat a strong 99Liga Season. Their development will be aided by the opportunity to play alongside players from our main team in the next ESL Meisterschaft split. Please give a warm welcome to Karim “Krimbo” Moussa!
