CS:GO Update – Welcome k1to and syrsoN

Berlin, January 1st 2020After a challenging 2019, we greet the new year with revitalized roster, hungry to claim back our place in the Counter-Strike world. Bolstering our active line-up moving forward will be Florian “syrsoN” Rische and Nils “k1to” Gruhne.
After the events of the last quarter, our coaching staff around Tobias “tow b” Herberhold & Fatih “gob b” Dayik as well as team captain Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz sat down to analyze our situation, and find a solution to our consistency and in-game issues so we can head into the 2020 tournament season with a team capable of delivering results.
The solution starts with the addition of two domestic talents who have already proven themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Florian “syrsoN” Rische, who is undoubtedly Germany’s best awper will be joining us to man the big green gun, alongside his former teammate Nils “k1to” Gruhne, whose aggressive rifling as a playmaker will be a testament to our conviction of becoming a world-class team.
With their arrival comes the departure of Owen “smooya” Butterfield and Johannes “nex” Maget from our line-up. Both Owen Butterfield and Johannes Maget have played a key role in our competitive efforts & successes over the past years, which we thank them for from the bottom our heart.
Besides the line-up, we also make changes to our CS:GO coaching team. Fatih “gob b” Dayik will take over the role of Head of CS:GO, once again supporting the team with his wide breadth of knowledge and experience. Fatih will be replacing Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić, who will be departing from the organization. We would like to thank Nikola for his hard work as both a player and part of our coaching staff. Our achievements together are undeniable.

Statement Daniel Finkler, CEO

It’s our ambitious goal to strengthen our team and build a consistent and steadily improving roster, which is able to attack the top ranks in 2020. Based on the experiences from the past periods, Tobias “tow b” Herberhold, Fatih “gob b” Dayik as well as team captain Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz analyzed all results and performances and decided to change our existing roster to have a fresh start into the new year. We fully support their choices and I am more than happy that we were able to convince syrsoN and acquire k1to. Both players showed their tremendous potential during the last tournament season and kept improving continuously. Welcome to BIG!

Statement Tobias “tow b” Herberhold, Head Coach:

The rumours of the last weeks turned out to be true. We happily announce our latest additions Florian ‘syrsoN’ Rische and Nils ‘k1to’ Gruhne, who are replacing Owen ‘smooya’ Butterfield and Johannes ‘nex’ Maget. I want to thank both for their efforts. We had a good start and some promising results but in the end it didn’t work out as wanted. Furthermore I’m happy to announce that Fatih ‘gob b’ Dayik will join the coaching staff at my side. Future  additions in that field will follow. We are looking forward to 2020 heading into our first bootcamp that will start in some days.

Statement Nils “k1to” Gruhne:

I’m very excited that I get the chance to play with these experienced players in BIG. It will not be easy in the beginning, but I think if we work hard enough we can become a really good team. It’s also an advantage for syrsoN and me that we already worked with tow b together this year. I´m looking forward to all our upcoming tournaments. Let’s do this #gemeinsam!

Statement Florian “syrsoN” Rische:

2020 starts with a new chapter for me. Joining BIG means also I’m finally reunited with my former teammate Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch, whom I’ve already played with during my time in ALTERNATE aTTaX. I have high goals for this year, such as winning tournaments and qualifying for ESL One Cologne. I’m sure we can reach these together and with the support of our fans!

Our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster moving into 2020 will be:

Tobias “tow b” Herberhold (Head Coach)

Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz
Nils “k1to” Gruhne
Florian “syrsoN” Rische
Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch
İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş

This roster is a result of careful analysis and decisions from our coaching staff. With the perfect mixture of experience, firepower, and explosiveness, we once again unite Germany’s best to challenge the world. Let’s head into another year of competition #GEMEINSAM.
