SEPHIBLACK MAKES DEEP RUN AT EVO JAPAN

Berlin, 3. April 2023 – The Miguel Maestro continues his international streak, becoming the only European player to reach Top 9 at EVO Japan 2023.

Sephiblack continued to make waves in the fighting games community with his impressive performance at EVO Japan 2023. Coming off a strong second-place finish at the European TEKKEN Cup, Sephiblack has solidified himself as one of Europe’s top contenders. His international prowess was previously demonstrated by his fourth-place finish at ComboBreaker 2022, where he took down some of the world’s best players.

 

At EVO Japan 2023, Sephiblack began his journey in the pools among 1,401 other entrants. Winning five consecutive games, he advanced to the Top 96 from the winners’ side. After defeating Joey Fury but falling to 渡辺, he moved to the Top 24 from the losers’ side. In the lower bracket, Sephiblack overcame Lan and ULSAN before ultimately succumbing to SAINT, finishing in an impressive 9th place. This achievement marks the furthest advancement of any European player in the tournament, further solidifying Sephiblack’s reputation as one of the best players in Tekken, and a true Miguel virtuoso.
