Berlin, 28. March 2023 – After an incredible battle through the lower-bracket of the ESEA Advanced playoffs and the following relegation phase, the BIG OMEN Academy have been successfully promoted to the ESL Challenger League, the highest level professional CS:GO league after the ESL Pro League.
The academy team’s journey in the ESEA circuit started twelve seasons ago by signing up for ESEA Open S33, the very first level of the circuit. Gradually working their way up season by season, division by division, the team arrived in ESEA Advanced in Season 40. Despite multiple strong showings, it was now in Season 44 that they have made the distance and achieved a strong playoffs run, taking down teams such as Websterz, Viperio, Eternal Fire Academy, and PROSPECTS in order to reach the relegation phase of ECL. Their momentum did not slow down, as they continued by taking down ECSTATIC and FTW Esports in the relegation phase, resulting in them qualifying for the 45th season of the ESL Challenger League as the only German team.
The BIG OMEN Academy were crowned ESL Meisterschaft champions last December
