In 2017 we united the best & most prestigious German Counterstrike players to compete with the world's leading esport organizations. What followed was a tremendous success story. Today our starting roster is among the best teams in the world and competes on the biggest stages of esports.
League of Legends is undoubtedly the driving force in esports. Since the release in 2009, more than 100 million people fell in love with the famous MOBA title. In March 2018 we joined forces with a young and tremendously talented LoL squad, who are representing BIG with all their passion and dedication for the game.
Another addition to our Counter-Strike department, BIG EQUIPA is our Iberian powerhouse competing in the ESL Impact league! Stay up to date with one of the best women's team in the world.
BIG Chroma is a new project focusing on scouting female and non-binary talent in League of Legends and aiding their development as professional athletes. Winning the Equal Esports Festival in Cologne this September, BIG Chroma has already a title under their belt while representing the BIG colours.
The famous FPS title Quake is part of the esport sphere since the early days of professional gaming. Marcel “k1llsen” Paul has been part of the professional competitive scene for more than 14 years and since then is considered as one of the world’s best Quake players.
In our quest to unite the best Germany has to offer, we brought aboard Tobias “ShoWTimE” Sieber in our expansion to StarCraft.
As a household name in StarCraft, Tobias is one of the most successful German players.
Spearheading our fighting games division is Arja "Sephiblack" Gamoori! As the best German Tekken player and a top European contender, he is well known for his mastery of Miguel, and wholehearted approach to both competition and streaming.
We look back on another memorable Gamescom experience in Cologne. Read all about our presence at one of the world’s biggest gaming events.
At the heart of our Gamescom experience were the numerous Meet and Greets that took place at our partner booths in collaboration with Die Bayerische and Philips OneBlade. Our fans had the opportunity to meet our players and staff up close and challenge our pro players in fun matches where they could try and beat the BIG players. We also had lots of fun at the Red Bull Creator Club, another Gamescom special we are able to attend thanks to our partner Red Bull.
At the die Bayerische booth, our fans were regularly treated to fresh pretzels and an authentic taste of Bavaria, all in the atmosphere of a beer garden where they could meet our Trackmania players massa and GranaDy as well as players from our League of Legends team. The thrilling Trackmania tournament on our very own die Bayerische racetrack and car rounded off the experience.
At the Philips OneBlade booth, our fans had the chance to get a special shave, for example from Trilluxe, get signed autographs in a meet and greet with gob b and tabseN and drive a few rounds of Trackmania in the unique BIG x OneBlade race car. Specials like this added an extra layer of excitement to the event and made it a great experience for everyone involved.
The conversations with our fans, partners and gaming enthusiasts were great, highlighting our shared passion and commitment to the esport and gaming community and adding to the vibrant atmosphere at the Gamescom.
Without a doubt, the Gamescom 2023 was yet another blast. We would like to thank our partners and fans for their support in making this a remarkable experience. We are already looking forward to next year’s Gamescom!
