In 2017 we united the best & most prestigious German Counter-Strike players to compete with the world's leading esport organizations. What followed was a tremendous success story. Today our starting roster is among the best teams in the world and competes on the biggest stages of esports.
League of Legends is undoubtedly the driving force in esports. Since the release in 2009, more than 100 million people fell in love with the famous MOBA title. In March 2018 we joined forces with a young and tremendously talented LoL squad, who are representing BIG with all their passion and dedication for the game.
Another addition to our Counter-Strike department, BIG EQUIPA is our Iberian powerhouse competing in the ESL Impact league! Stay up to date with one of the best women's team in the world.
We are excited to announce BIG’s strategic entry into Fortnite, a decision that has been carefully planned for an extensive period. As we expand our games portfolio, we are committed to significantly increasing our investment in our Fortnite division. Fortnite’s global appeal, with hundreds of millions of players, offers immense potential, particularly in the DACH region.
We are relaunching our CS2 Academy to revive the German scene and develop young talents for the international top tier. BIG Academy is a cornerstone of BIG’s long-term strategy to discover, train, and promote the next generation of esports professionals.
After a triumphant weekend, our new CS:GO roster have locked in their first title as champions of CCT North Europe S7!
As an invited team, we have received a slot in the Round of 16 of the CCT North Europe Series 7 tournament. Our first opponents were Endpoint, against whom we had a crazy series starting off with taking the first map to overtime from a 3:12 deficit at halftime. An outstanding performance from Elias “s1n” Stein locked in the win for us and set us up for a match against SAW in the quarter-finals.
Our game against SAW followed the same script as our previous match, culminating in yet another victory for our boys following a nail-biting overtime finish, this time with our star AWP Mateusz ‘mantuu’ Wilczewski finishing the series with 83 frags. Our semi-final matchup was an easier affair, as we dispatched the Polish side of “los kogutos” in just two maps.
Oddly enough, our most one-sided result came in the grand final, where we locked horns with Monte for the title and the $22,000 rewarded to the first place. Allowing them 19 rounds in total over two maps, our young rifling duo of Karim “Krimbo” Moussa and David “prosus” Hesse delivered 48 frags each to bring home the series on Anubis, and with it, the title. The match served as perfect preparation for the ESL Pro League starting next week, as we will be facing Monte once again for our opening match.
