BIG ACADEMY REACH ESLM GRAND FINAL

 

Berlin, November 25th 2023 – We are thrilled to announce that the BIG Academy has successfully defeated ALTERNATE aTTaX in the upper-bracket final of the ESL Meisterschaft, and have secured a place at the LAN Grand Final in Hannover!

The qualification journey saw a rematch between BIG Academy and aTTaX, following their initial encounter in the group stage. The first map, Ancient, witnessed a dominant performance from BIG Academy, who secured a convincing 13:2 victory. The momentum continued on Overpass, aTTaX’s map choice. Despite a competitive first half, BIG Academy showcased an outstanding offensive play and concluded the map with a 13:6 score, thereby earning their spot in the grand final.

This achievement was a true team effort, highlighted by impressive statistics on the scoreboard. Every player from BIG Academy contributed positively, with special recognition going to the rifling duo of pr1metapz and ArroW, who achieved 29 and 32 frags, respectively.

 

The BIG Academy boys have reached second place at the IESF World Championship few months ago as Team Germany

 

Following their victory in the lower-bracket, aTTaX has also qualified for the grand final. This sets the stage for an exciting LAN rematch in Hannover on December 16th. The stakes are high, as the title would not only be the third consecutive ESL Meisterschaft trophy for the BIG Academy but also crown them as champions of the final ESL Meisterschaft season. This victory would be particularly momentous, considering the ESL Meisterschaft’s status as one of the longest-running esports leagues globally, which is set to be discontinued from next year.
