Red Bull is sponsoring a German esports team for the first time in history and will be an official partner of Berlin International Gaming from February 2019.
Berlin, 20. February 2019 – As one of the leading German Esport Clubs we have always aimed high with our goals. Today, we get new wings. We are the first German Esport-Club ever to represent Red Bull with our athletes as a long-term partner. An honor, and at the same time, another milestone in our history.
The last two years have been intense, there have been ups and downs, many emotional moments. We have grown together with you. With BIG we had only one goal right from the start: we wanted to dominate the German market and make strong waves internationally. Today, about two years after the founding of Berlin International Gaming, we have become the undisputed best in Germany, leading the way in Counter-Strike for the country, and reached the top of the word in esports.
We owe this not only to all our first-class athletes but also to our loyal partners and above all to you – our fans. With Red Bull we can welcome today a new member in our BIG family. From the very beginning, our team has stood for unique team spirit, unbending will, concentration and absolute willingness to perform. This attitude has shaped our way and BIG as an organization. We are very grateful that Red Bull would now like to accompany us on our journey.

Already today, our CS:GO Team will compete for the first time with Red Bull at this year’s 1.000.000 USD IEM Katowice Major. At the end of March, the StarSeries i-League Season 7 Finals will follow, a 500,000 USD tournament taking place in Shanghai. The team also qualified in February for the Intel Extreme Masters Sydney in May, and will be heading to the 15th CS:GO Major hosted in our hometown – Berlin.
