Fatih “gob b” Dayik wins DCP Player of the Year

Berlin, May 13th 2020 – Recognizing a career of excellence, we are proud to share that Fatih “gob b” Dayik has been selected as the “Player of the Year” during the “Deutsche Computerspielpreis (DCP)” award ceremony.
Active since 2009, the German Computer Game Awards (DCP) is considered as the most important award for the national gaming industry. Recognizing the best from fifteen different categories, the panel has selected Fatih “gob b” Dayik as the Player of the Year.

 

 

Contributing nearly twenty years of his life to Counter-Strike, there’s no introduction needed for the impact gob b had on the German scene. Considered as one of the brightest minds of the game, he has taken us to unprecedented heights such as the grand final of ESL One Cologne 2018. His achievements also date back to Counter-Strike 1.6, winning multiple Intel Extreme Masters titles in Cologne, Dubai, and Hannover against some of the world’s best, and winning the German Championship twelve different times.
His career of achievement and dedication to building the scene will have an influence on the coming generations of players.
