CS:GO Update – gob b returns as CS:GO Head Coach

Berlin, May 1st 2022 – The godfather of German Counter-Strike is back. We are delighted to announce the return of Fatih “gob b” Dayik, as he takes over the role of Head Coach from Niclas “enkay J” Krumhorn!
A name that needs no introduction, gob b is one of the most distinguished German Counter-Strike players of all time. As one of the founding members, he has been part of Berlin International Gaming from day one and has led the CS:GO division to many successes unprecedented in German CS:GO as the ingame leader. Reaching the grand finals of ESL One Cologne 2018 and multiple Major playoffs were all achieved under his leadership.
In the Summer of 2020, our entrance to Valorant was led by gob b as he continued his career as team captain in a new FPS title. Over the past two years, he developed the strongest German Valorant team and qualified twice for the Valorant Championship Tour circuit – the highest league in the competitive scene. Now, he returns to his roots in Counter-Strike, already helping the team during their amazing run at the EU RMR in Bucharest. He leaves big shoes to fill on our Valorant line-up, but we will have an update for our fans there in the near future!

Statement Roman “Roman R.” Reinhardt, Head of CS:GO
I have known Fatih for a long time now, we had many games in the past against each other as rivals. I am incredibly happy that this time we are on the same side, and that he is back on board! I don’t know anyone who has more passion and ambition for this game than he does. Everyone could feel the energy and aura he brought with him at the RMR, and he played a big role in our performance in Bucharest. I’m looking forward to the future with Fatih, and I am convinced that he will be a great asset to the team with his attention to detail and mindset!
Statement Fatih “gob b” Dayik, CS:GO Head Coach
My journey in Valorant is over, I gave my everything and I’m very sure that our new team will be a strong competitor for the other VCT teams. It’s time to follow my heart and return to the game that made me the person I am today! Within the last weeks I already had the chance to help our CS:GO team, especially on the RMR Major Qualifier. Even though I assisted Tobias “tow b” Herberhold in the beginning of 2020, becoming head coach is still something new for me. I’m not the guy who only tried things: if I commit I am doing it at 100%. I am looking forward to working with the team and to have my first appearance behind them at the PGL Antwerp Major! #GOBIG
