BIG’s vic0 Nominated for Esports PC Player of the Year

Berlin, Germany – October 2026 – Taylor-Petrik “vic0” Gatschelhofer has been nominated for Esports PC Player of the Year at the Esports Awards 2026, the most prestigious award show in esports and widely known as the Oscars of esports. The BIG Fortnite player is one of only ten finalists in the category. The winners will be revealed on 17 November in Miami. The Esports Awards 2026 in Miami

Founded in 2015, the Esports Awards are the only global award show dedicated to excellence across all of esports. This year’s edition features 199 finalists across 19 categories and takes place in Miami for the first time, with the Esports World Cup as one of its key partners. Winners are decided by an industry panel and fans worldwide.

The Esports PC Player of the Year honours the best PC player across all competitive titles. vic0 is nominated alongside some of the biggest names in esports, including Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk and Danil “donk” Kryshkovets.

vic0 Brings Fortnite Back Into the Esports PC Player of the Year Race

For Fortnite, the nomination is especially meaningful. The only Fortnite player to ever win the category was Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf in 2019, the year of the Fortnite World Cup, and no Fortnite player has won it since. This year, vic0 brings Fortnite back into the category as one of only ten finalists, while the game itself is nominated for Esports Game of the Year.

The nomination recognises an outstanding 2026 season. Together with Danila “Malibuca” Iakovenko, vic0 won the FNCS Major 1 Summit in Düsseldorf and the inaugural Fortnite Reload Elite Series at the Esports World Cup 2026. At the FNCS Global Championship in Antwerp, the duo went into the final game in first place and finished third, just four points behind the champions.
