Berlin, November 2nd 2023 – From a diamond in the rough on the Academy team to a shining star on our main line-up, we are delighted to extend with David “prosus” Hesse for the next few years!
Prosus’s journey with BIG began at the young age of 16 when he was among the first few signees to our Academy department. Over the course of two years, he developed his skills within our structured environment, setting the stage for his future success. His talent soon attracted attention, leading to his first full-time offer from ALTERNATE aTTaX. Later, he earned a spot on Fnatic’s Academy roster, competing in the WePlay Academy League.
In late 2021, prosus returned to the BIG Academy, where he continued to shine as one of the roster’s brightest stars. During this period, he achieved significant milestones, including securing the title of vice-champion in two WePlay Academy League Seasons, claiming second place at Fragadelphia 17, and clinching back-to-back ESL Meisterschaft titles. His consistently exceptional performances laid the groundwork for his eventual promotion to the main roster in June of this year, as part of our strategic rebuild.
As prosus takes on a pivotal role within the main team, he has already demonstrated his immense potential against some of the world’s best. BIG is delighted to continue nurturing his talent and dedication as he embarks on this new chapter in his career. With a long-term commitment to his growth and development, we look forward to witnessing the evolution of this rising star into a true force to be reckoned with on the global esports stage.
