As part of a comprehensive partnership, Philips OneBlade is supporting Germany's leading esports organization, Berlin International Gaming (BIG), which is committed to youth development in the industry through its BIG SELECTA development program. The goal is to prepare talented young players for a successful esports career.
Philips OneBlade is involved in BIG SELECTA through tailored programs, initiatives, and mentoring. A highlight is the bootcamp, where up-and-coming talents can qualify for a spot in the BIG SELECTA development program, taking place on the weekend of September 20–22. With the help of pro players and top-tier mentors, participants can deliberately improve their skills. As a firmly established partner in the German esports scene, Philips OneBlade was once again present at gamescom in Cologne this year, the world's largest trade fair for computer and video games. There, Philips OneBlade offered visitors self-grooming stations where they could explore the product range and get new styles from a barber.
As part of the gamescom Fortnite skill map online tournament, ambitious players also received a final chance to secure a spot in the BIG SELECTA bootcamp on the map created especially for Philips OneBlade. From September 20 to 22, 2024, the selected talents will compete at the Philips OneBlade x SELECTA Gamechanger Bootcamp across various disciplines. It's not just about gaming skills, but also mental strength and determination. The winner will be announced on September 25, 2024.
