Berlin, Germany, September 1, 2025 Berlin International Gaming (BIG) ended August with a bang and dominated the German League of Legends scene. Our LoL team not only won the offline finals of the Prime League at Gamescom, but also brought home the Prime Pokal just days later. With these victories, the team secured a spot at EMEA Masters 2025 Summer.
Dramatic Prime League Victory at Gamescom
On August 24, 2025, our LoL team faced the strong Orange Gaming roster in the Prime League grand final. In a Best-of-5 thriller, the teams went toe to toe. BIG started with a 1-0 lead but then fell behind 1-2. With nerves of steel and determination, our guys fought back and turned the series around for a final 3-2 victory.
This gripping win was capped by an outstanding individual performance: Our player "Shelfmade" set a new kill record for solo kills in the Prime League final. With 71 all-time solo kills in total, he has surpassed every other player in league history in just a year and a half. In 2025 alone, he recorded more than 50 solo kills, further cementing his reputation as one of the most dominant players in the scene.
Second Triumph at the Prime Pokal
BIG's winning streak continued. Just days after the Prime League victory, our team competed in the Prime Pokal final on August 30, 2025. There they faced Unicorns of Love and delivered another strong performance.
With a decisive 3-1, BIG claimed this title as well and completed the double triumph in August. With both wins, the LoL team secured qualification for EMEA Masters 2025 Summer. We are incredibly proud of the entire team's performance and look forward to taking on the next challenges on the European stage.
