2023 marked a monumental year for our Trackmania department, as the team showcased remarkable skill and determination in the Trackmania Grand League and various other prestigious competitions.
With the introduction of the Trackmania World Tour, we were thrilled to welcome Nico “GranaDy” Gyarmati and coach Kevin “Amaterasu” Maass, joining forces with the seasoned racer Dennis “massa” Lotze. This formidable trio marked their debut in the TMGL’s first stage. Despite facing a series of challenging matches and narrowly missing the playoffs, the team demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork.
A significant highlight of the year was our first super weekend broadcast, hosted directly from our state-of-the-art BIG Studio in Berlin. This event not only showcased our team’s gaming prowess but also highlighted BIG’s commitment to bringing top-tier entertainment to our fans.
The off-season witnessed our team’s impressive performance in the first All-Stars Championship, securing a spot in the playoffs. Entering the second stage of the TMGL, our team outperformed expectations, finishing the regular season in third place. The playoffs were a testament to our team’s resilience and strategic brilliance, overcoming formidable opponents like Karmine Corp, Gamers First, and Solary. Our journey culminated in a valiant effort against Alliance, securing a commendable second place in this highly competitive stage.

Another pinnacle of the year was the second All-Stars Championship, where our team demonstrated impeccable skill, reaching 3rd-4th place following a flawless group stage. The year then culminated with the Trackmania World Championship, the final showdown of the Trackmania annual circuit, where our team showcased their exceptional talent, finishing in the 5-6th place after battling through two rigorous group stages to reach the Finals in Montpellier.
A notable mention goes to the Ascension tournaments, a series of LAN Qualifiers where both massa and GranaDy delivered stellar performances. GranaDy’s victory in Lille was a highlight, leading both players to secure direct berths to the main Ascension 2023 event. This event, held in Montpellier in front of an enthusiastic crowd of nearly 10,000 fans, saw GranaDy continuing his impressive form, achieving third place in what was the biggest Trackmania event in history.

This year has been one of the best in my life! An amazing teammate and coach but also supportive staff members made this possible! The highlights were a fantastic TMGL S2, top three in Lille, and also the Ascension Final in Montpellier. A great year for myself and Nico and we are looking forward to the next year! Stay humble and keep grinding!

2023 was one of the best years of my entire life so far. Thanks to BIG I was able to attend more events than ever and managed to grow as a player and person throughout the year. I always had a lot of fun with Massa, Amaterasu and the entire BIG staff during these events and I hope it continues this way in 2024.
Overall, it was by far the most successful year of my career and I can’t wait to see what’s coming up in 2024!
