In 2017 we united the best & most prestigious German Counter-Strike players to compete with the world's leading esport organizations. What followed was a tremendous success story. Today our starting roster is among the best teams in the world and competes on the biggest stages of esports.
League of Legends is undoubtedly the driving force in esports. Since the release in 2009, more than 100 million people fell in love with the famous MOBA title. In March 2018 we joined forces with a young and tremendously talented LoL squad, who are representing BIG with all their passion and dedication for the game.
Another addition to our Counter-Strike department, BIG EQUIPA is our Iberian powerhouse competing in the ESL Impact league! Stay up to date with one of the best women's team in the world.
We are excited to announce BIG’s strategic entry into Fortnite, a decision that has been carefully planned for an extensive period. As we expand our games portfolio, we are committed to significantly increasing our investment in our Fortnite division. Fortnite’s global appeal, with hundreds of millions of players, offers immense potential, particularly in the DACH region.
Rio, 23. April 2023 – Right after their long run at Paris Major RMR, our CS:GO team flew straight to Rio de Janeiro for the Intel Extreme Masters tournament. This wasn’t their first time in the vibrant city, as they had previously visited Rio for the Major, where they made an impressive run with stand-in Elias “s1n” Stein. With just a short break for media day, the team geared up for an action-packed week.
Kicking off our IEM Rio journey with a best-of-one match against MOUZ, we showcased a masterful performance on Overpass, easily overpowering our opponents. Next up was a face-off with Heroic, one of the world’s top teams. Despite a shaky start, losing our first map pick of Vertigo in tight fashion, we bounced back and dominated Heroic in the final map of the series. Krimbo, in particular, shined bright with an outstanding 65 frags. This win secured our spot in the playoffs, for which we met NAVI in a thrilling group final to determine who would advance to the semifinals. After an intense double overtime battle in the first game, we narrowly lost and couldn’t regain momentum for the rest of the series.
Entering the Jeuneusse Arena, our quarter-final match pitted us against Vitality. Though our young stars hyped and Krimbo had some standout performances, the Danish and French mix ultimately prevailed over two closely contested maps, eventually going on to win the entire tournament. Despite the loss, we cherished the experience of playing in front of a live audience again and participating in the showmatch. We look forward to returning to the stage soon, with our eyes set on future victories.
